This course prepares the students with the knowledge and skills to take the State of Kansas Certified Nursing Assistant exam.  The nursing assistant must be at least 16 years, have a social security number and reliable transportation.  A nursing assistant is the foundation in caregiving.  The nursing assistant reports to a licensed nurse and provides basic nursing care to the patient/resident in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and residential care facilities.  The course consist of 90 actual clock hours (65 didactic and 25 clinical hours) and once the student SUCCESSFULLY completes both the didactic and clinical portions they are eligible to take the State of Kansas Certified Nursing Assistant exam.

    • Clinical Week 2: Thursday, Friday, and the following Monday are clinicals (*Times to announced, based on the facility, hours are from 6:30 am-9pm*)

August 8 - September 13, 2014

    • The course will be held on Fridays and Saturdays for six (6) weeks from 0800-1630 and clinical times are between 0630-2100 (based on the facility).

Cost

$800 The CNA tuition includes the use of our textbooks, the drug test fee required for the clinical site and the Kansas state testing fee.

Note: Financial Aid does not cover CNA tuition fees.
